As French lessons have started, now students spend all mornings at the language school and we only have evening activities together.

On day 3, after a delicious lunch based on either crepes or burritos, we headed to visit the Chillon castle at Montreux. The place is very well preserved and has astonishing views over the lake and the mountains. We were able to visit the towers, the different rooms and the dungeons, were famous people spent large amounts of time inprisonned in rather miserable conditions.

On day 4, after another delicious buffet lunch next to the language school, we headed  by train towards Bex, where we visited the salt mines and experienced first hand the tough work conditions the miners have been suffering for the last 200 years. We learned about the Science behind salt extraction, Geology of the Alps and some of our students even got their hands dirty and hammered rocks the old fashion way.

The weather was rainy on day 4, although conditions are supposed to get better for the next few days.

Good times and a lot of French speaking.
