Very busy times for the Secondary school, as we enter that last six weeks of the school year. There is a great deal of student energy channeled into exam preparation, the May 18 performing and visual arts evening (essential date for your diary), as well as several other events, trips and activities. Teachers are focusing on planning for next year, especially with moving into the new building, which is likely to be the best learning facility in Oman! No small claim. They are also busily working towards our accreditation by CIS (Council of International Schools). We have a world class maths specialist, Kelvin Sparks, coming into visit next week to help us further develop in this important aspect of our curriculum.
Very shortly, we will share information with you on our new dress code, pleasing ISA results, expansion related information, as well as other good news.
Thank you to everyone who has agreed to support their child’s musical development by deciding to purchase a higher quality instrument. Here is an interesting article on how music benefits brain development, particularly in the young. Let’s take that opportunity!
We hope that Grade 8 can finally complete their diving on Monday and Tuesday. Fingers crossed.
Enjoy the next two longer weekends.
