This week Grade 11 demonstrated their understanding of the political opposition to the Russian tsar Alexander II by creating recruitment posters. The two main opposition groups–the intelligentsia and the populists–had very different aims and tactics, and the students had to reflect that in their posters. Additionally, the posters had to display one prominent thinker from that opposition group and a quote.
