There are three components for the IGCSE Music course: Listening, Performing and Composing.  Our G10 music students are hard at work, training their ears to recognize the characteristics of different musical eras and genres, as well as be able to write down what they hear and sing what they see.

As part of the listening component, students will choose 1 of 2 set pieces to study and prepare for the exam in June.  They can choose between Vivaldi’s “Spring” or Rodrigo’s “Concierto de Aranjuez”.  Once they make the choice, they should listen to their chosen piece as often as possible.

Another thing to help them is to go to the YouTube channel, MsCampatABIS, and let the IGCSE music playlists play.  Who knows, the whole family might discover an unknown love for classical music!
