This week, Grade 7 started looking at the characteristics of life. The students had great fun learning how to prepare microscope slides from pieces of onion that would allow them to take a closer look at plant cells. They produced some wonderful slides and operated the microscopes with great care. What a success! Most students even managed to snap some pictures through the eye piece – not an easy task and definitely a good exercise in resilience. Next week, we will look at those pictures again when studying the structure of cells.
