Dear G9 Parents & Students,
Together with the G9 students, Mr. Kearney and I (Mr. Davis) will be exploring a broad range of Global Issues facing the world today. We’ll link our understandings of the past to current global issues like education for all, poverty, global warming, immigration, international peace, water conservation, and much more, so we can begin finding solutions that could potentially shape tomorrow’s world. We believe that bringing awareness, and analysis to these global issues is of paramount importance in the world today and we are excited to see where our investigations will lead us.
Please see photos from our introductory presentation, “Perspectives on the iPhone” where G9 students viewed the iPhone from an environmentalist, consumer, and factory workers’ point of view. Opening up to different perspectives is largely what this class is about, and our G9 students showed us that they’re up for the challenge!
