Tomorrow (Thursday) our classroom will be turned into another workplace, a store! The students will be selling checkerboards, chandeliers, bowling sets, and Under the Sea mobiles to raise money to adopt a Lynx through the World Wildlife Federation! We voted on all the different animals we could adopt and it was between a whale shark, lynx, and kangaroo for the final vote. Even after shamefully pressuring the kids to choose a whale shark because they are found in Oman, they still voted to adopt a Lynx. A Lynx is a wild cat that lives in the Rocky Mountains of Canada, in case you were curious. And apparently it’s an important animal because my iPad keeps autocorrecting it to have a capita
Parents are invited to come browse or buy tomorrow morning. Our store will be open all day long, we hope to sell out, but if we don’t, we will most likely hold another sale day next week. I’m also in talks with Safeer Mall to hopefully be able to sell our stuff there, but I suppose that depends on our stock and how quickly Safeer Mall gets back to me.
FYI I will be away on Sunday as I’m attending a PYP workshop in Dubai, Ms. Saunders will be taking my place I believe.
