So another fun week in the Dance classes!

Students from grades K3-5 have completed their parts of the Omani Dances in which they are involved. They are VERY excited about performing this for you at the Assembly on May 7!

Secondary students are working on their hip hop numbers tentatively scheduled for the June 4 Primary Assembly. We will have yet another opportunity to watch them in action. We said goodbye to our grade tens who no longer need to attend classes because of their exams and we wish them well.

Students in secondary had a Dance Appreciation project – a piece of art – this semester and I have chosen Shalin’s picture to grace the front page. They were given much latitude in medium and style and Mr Clarke and I looked at some lovely pieces this afternoon.

Our IGCSE dancers of course do have to continue. They are involved in choreographing for the competition at the British School of Muscat on June 17. The students are really looking forward to the event. To date, all of grade nine and a few extras in grade seven and eight have indicated they wish to participate. Stay tuned for further details.

Looking ahead, the June 10 show is looming and promises to be great fun!
