Students have been showing off their HEALTHY and WASTE FREE lunches for the past 2 weeks and its been great!  We’ve been having some meaningful conversations about how our daily waste impacts ecosystems and how we can make better choices to reduce the amount of waste we make. We’ve also talked about all the chemicals, perservatives and sugar that is in packaged foods and how much better fruits and vegetables are for our health and for our learning! Thank you for you support as your children continue to learn how to make healthy sustainable choices for their health and for the environment. Last week Grade 4A won the Green Broccoli Award for having the highest percentage of students with waste free lunches and we hope to win the Green Broccoli Award soon!! Please see the Eco Schools Blog for ideas and tips on packing a waste free lunch.

Thanks!
