This week we celebrated our 100th day at school. We spent the whole day making and showing 100! Students spent time counting, adding, subtracting, and multiplying to get to 100. This week we also started reading the chapter book “Clementine” by Sara Pennypacker. So far we’ve read Chapter 1 and 2, ask you child to summarize the main events from Chapter 1 and 2! In writing we practiced writing persuasive sentences to help us with our persuasive writing pieces that we will be starting next week. We are using the acronym OREO to help us remember how to write a persuasive piece. O -Opinion, R-Reason, E-Example and O -Opinion. Students also wrote a short food chain story and did a food chain art activity. On Thursday we celebrated International Mother Language Day. Students shared some words in their native language and we made a language book. Have a great weekend.
