PE students witnessed a rather curious phenomenon on Tuesday: a ‘dust devil’ (sandy whirlwind) spun up over the top of the school. A Dust Devil is like a mini tornado that sucks up dust and in this case rises up into the air. As Grade 7 and 8 were competing in discus at the time, one might wonder if it was the power and speed of their rotation that caused it!

As I write this, we are preparing for our annual sports day at Sohar Aluminium. We hope to have lots of good races and a large crowd to support students as they put in one hundred percent. We’ll share photos of the event on the Broadcaster next week.

Thank you to all of those who have returned all the permission forms for Oman week. It should be a really fun event for the students, and we are happy that the vast majority of students across the school will be involved and be given the opportunity to develop themselves and form lots of great memories.
