As part of our Unit of Inquiry for How The World Works, grade 6 completed two different experiments this week testing our understandings of the forces of flight.

In experiment number one, we created different sized parachutes to test if size impacted air resistance.

In experiment number two, paper airplanes were used to simulate real flight, and we tested different conditions, including the size and weight of the plane, the type of paper airplane, and the technique used in throwing the plane, all with one goal; to figure out who could make a plane fly the furthest.
