What a JAZZY week we had!

Students have been madly learning their performance items in JAZZ! Primary students have been recalling, revising and revisiting what they already have learned and know and have been learning the last few steps. Congratulations to Grade Four students who are the first group to complete their dance! They will spend the last couple of lessons revising and polishing!

Secondary students have been also working hard, signing up for lunch times and recess times to keep working on their steps. Some groups are learning that it is sometimes better to push on than to keep perfecting a small part – in order to maintain the integrity of the whole dance. Some groups are considering how timing and tempo work. The IGCSE group is learning that dance can be corny and funny and silly – and it is about the dance, not about them.

There promises to be a variety of different Jazz pieces both for the Secondary performance and the primary assembly – certainly something for everyone to enjoy!

Enjoy the clips from secondary school!
