Starting the week after October Break on Oct. 12, students in grades 3, 4 and 5 will play the recorder! Students who need a recorder are welcome to purchase one (it’s the one in the picture – comes with a case, joint grease and a necklace!) from Ms. Camp for 2 OMR. Returning students should bring their recorders from last year. Students should bring their recorders and music folders to each music class during the week.
The recorder is an excellent device for encouraging musical literacy and developing musicality. As your recorder player practices at home, encourage him or her to play with a beautiful tone. It will make the practice sessions that much better for everyone.
