Books have dominated the week and it has been enjoyable to be part of the buzz. All Secondary students were involved in Wednesday’s book quiz, which was hosted by quizmaster, Grade 3 teacher, Mrs Simpson, who made a guest appearance. Thousands of pages of books have been read and I am sure that there will be some tired eyes by the end of the week. But before we get some rest, we have the book parade to look forward to, which is one our most entertaining school events.
I have had some really good discussions with a few parents about school, curriculum and homework this week and found the feedback helpful. I look forward to joining the coffee morning on Sunday and having more chats about what’s going on. Students are now planning their CAS activities for the year and I have heard of some great projects. For instance it sounds like ABIS will soon be starting its first student council, which is exciting and a great opportunity for students to gain some leadership experience. Mr. Carberry shared details about this year’s ski trip destination in Italy, which looks fantastic. I’m jealous already and urge everyone who can go, to go.
Have a relaxing weekend!
