Headphones
Grade 2 will be using the Raz-Kids app for reading and this app works best with headphones. If possible, can you please send a pair of headphones with your child to school. Students can then either leave their headphones at school or keep them in their backpacks if they also need to use them at home. Thanks!
Homework
This week is all about assessment! Once I have a better idea of where each child is individually, I will start to send home some daily homework. Each child’s needs are different, and I always try to differentiate when possible, so please don’t be alarmed if your child has different, or more or less homework than another student.
I’d also like to say thank you to all the parents that have come and introduced themselves to me. I hope to meet the rest of you soon. Grade 2 also has 5 new families that have joined us this year, the Prices from Australia, the Clarkes from Spain, the Baillargeons from Canada, the Al Barwanis from Oman, and the Adams from the US. Returning parents please also introduce yourselves to our new families if you happen to see them around. And again, thank you to those that have already made us newbies feel welcome at ABIS and in Sohar.
