We are preparing for the wind down into the summer break, but it will certainly be a busy week before we get to that point. Tonight we will host another one of our annual flagship events: the Arts Evening. We hope that lots of you will join us for an enjoyable celebration of talent in the form of singing, dance and visual art.
Next Thursday we have an end of year secondary assembly at 11:15 am. Please come to the assembly and also see the Grade 7/8 projects, which will be on exhibition. There will be a number of student performances, highlights from the Indian Maher trip, and the issuing of student awards. It would be great to have your support.
Early next week, you will received a link to a Summer Learning Programme. The aim of this programme is to encourage students to continue their development over the summer. Research shows that the student’s ability ‘drops’ over the summer due to lack of educational input. This is known as Summer Learning Loss, which averages about 2-3 months per student! Two badly affected areas are English and Maths.

Our Summer Learning Programme will assist students to prevent this drop or ‘loss’, whilst still ensure they have plenty of free time to travel, have fun and hang out with their families and friends. It would be very helpful to our mission if you encourage and support your child to complete the Summer Learning Programme, which has been adjusted to the age of your child and the stage of education they are in.
