Primary and Secondary students did their ISA assessments this week. This is internationally compared data, which informs us on how students are doing in areas like Maths and English when compared against students of the same age globally. It also shows us how much progress individual students are making each year. Each year we share this individual information with parents, but also the general information in terms of the school’s progress at the AGM.
In about ten days we will be sharing the Semester reports and I am pleased to say that there is generally a story of improvement by the students. This is encouraging and we look forward to helping students build on this success each and every semester, as well as helping them address any issues.
We have had our first batch of Grade 7/8 Personal Projects in, which have now been marked. This is particularly exciting because students have been given the freedom to choose projects that excite them. Resultantly, there is a wonderful array of different project ranging from musical pieces to research, from Manga comics to video tutorials, from information posters to works for art. We look forward to sharing these with you towards the end of the year as students should have completed two more projects by then. Have a wonderful weekend!
