Maths Day was the highlight for me this week and a really enjoyable and worthwhile event. Thank you to all the parents who braved the storm and made it. We hope you found it worthwhile and learned something about how much fun maths can be (if it wasn’t for you at school) but also learned more about how it is taught here at ABIS. We look forward to the unravelling of the quiz scores and which house won the maths day competition at next week’s Primary assembly. The Blue Dolphin house team was in the lead in the ‘constructors championship’ with the Desert Foxes just behind but we all know how quickly that can change when the results come in!
This week I am attaching an amusing but interesting speech that Bill Gates gave to a high school. It is quite blunt and aimed at keeping students humble and hard working. I hope you enjoy and agree with the message that Gates shares.
I hope you enjoy the long weekend if you have one and a normal weekend if you don’t!
