AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITY LANGUAGE CLASSES

This year, the school has continued to refine and develop the languages on offer. Arabic will now have an extended programme for the Mother Tongue Speakers. This will be run by the school’s Arabic Language staff.

If parents would like to help improve other Mother Tongue languages they are welcome to run classes in school. Classes will be part of the After School Activity programme, with a choice of Sundays or Wednesdays (3:15- 4:10) available.

Parent volunteers who would like to run classes please let the administration staff know as soon as possible.

A strong knowledge of Mother Tongue has been proven to help in the development of conceptual understanding across languages.

While classes are recommended and ABIS is dedicated to helping make this happen, parents can further support their children through constant reading, writing and speaking naturally in their family’s home language as much as possible.
