The Indian mathematician Ayyangar was born on December 1st 1892. He was an awarded an MA in mathematics at the age of 18. During his lifetime Ayanngar famously translated many Sanskrit texts transforming them into modern language and notation. His work on the History of Mathematics demonstrates many important developments in mathematics discovered by Indian mathematicians.
