Since when have you been studying at ABIS?

I came to ABIS in Grade 7, so since 2014

What is your most memorable moment and why?

For me, Maher Trip. It was a moment where the whole class really bonded and learned more about each other. Moreover, it was when we cried the most probably so it was a time when we relied on each other comforting each other and sharing our stories. Also, personally, I was able to clarify and reflect on my dream more in detail.

What / Who has been most inspirational to you at ABIS and why?

I always waited for all the fun activities we had. For example, spirit week and international evening. These activities motivated me to survive another busy day in school and excitedly plan what to wear with my friends.

What will you miss about ABIS when you leave?

I would really miss the opened learning space where we can freely spread out ourselves and also the way we can freely interact with teachers. I really like laughing and having little chats with teachers before and after class because it really felt like they understood the stress we went through.

What message would you like to leave behind for your juniors?

Be responsible for your learning. And if you can’t avoid it, enjoy it! We can’t avoid IB, so might as well have fun with it. With this mindset, I was able to choose IAs and EEs that actually interested me. Also, it helped me to meet my deadlines because I pushed myself to enjoy what I was doing and being responsible.

What are your dreams for the future?

The larger goal I have is to build an orphanage with my dad as the chef cooking for the children and my mom as the runner (as she studied social work). I hope the children to grow with an ethical mindset and well-rounded human beings.

If you could come back in 10 years, what would you like to see not changed about ABIS and why?

The open learning space and infrastructure that I mentioned before because for me I really liked that aspect of ABIS.

Whom would you like to thank for making your IB journey successful and why?

My parents, teachers and friends. First because my parents were there to support me and never pressured me, I was able to go through all the difficult times. And teachers always kindly guided me and answered my questions even if they were very busy. And friends were there when I needed comfort and always there to de-stress by chatting and laughing.
