STEAM for grades 4 and 5

Among the many highlights this week was our Tuesday STEAM activity. In mixed groups the students designed pipe cleaner structures. The activity promoted collaboration and was a great way to begin our weekly STEAM sessions.

Figurative language heroes scavenger hunt

Through an active scavenger hunt, students had to find the facts to answer the hero related questions from fact cards about each individual. In each card, students tried to find two examples of figurative language. It was a thoroughly engaging activity.
