The grade 4 students began inquiring into what makes for a good role model/hero. In the pictures you can see students looking at 8 different potential role models and deciding whether they are good role models or not.

During guided reading time this week, the students enjoyed Roald Dahl books of their own choosing. We also had a chance to discuss the importance of developing a love of reading.

The highlight this week was a fieldtrip to a nearby electric substation organized by Mr Wilks. He also put together an informative presentation about electricity enjoyed by all. We are so very appreciative of his efforts!

The Grade 4 students spent some time tidying our classroom by sorting supplies and organizing the classroom library. We also began inquiring into renewable and non-renewable energy.

The students enjoyed a math activity dealing with measurement that involved baking treats in preparation for a visit from grade 2. We also got back to sharing personal inquiries on Thursday morning, which is always fun.
