We have been focussing on Gases. What is a gas? How can we see gas?
When asked what a gas is, these were the replies:
– water is a gas
– a gas is hot
– it is something that comes from your bottom
– air and steam is a gas
– gas comes from the car exhaust
– milk and juice is a gas
– a house is a gas
– paper is a gas
– behind the airplane comes gas
– bubbles is a gas

So we have been doing some experiments to help understand what a gas is. We learnt that we breathe gases in and out of our bodies.
To explain that the air is an example of a gas, we had some fun. We made parachutes, did some experiments to show the presence of air,did bubble painting and blew bubbles.

Then we did an experiment to create Carbon Dioxide. We mixed vinegar and Baking soda, the gas went into the balloon and it became bigger and bigger!!!!
