‘Dear (name of your child)’ began the letter ‘I really think I should give you more homework’it continued. …The letter, part of our persuasive writing exercise is a letter from the teacher attempting to persuade children that they should be given more homework. The children in turn will be writing to the eteacher persuading him that they shouldn’t be given more homework. Our current Unit of Inquiry is coming to an end. Our next unit looks at water and the challenges faced by living things in their attempt to share this resource. In math, we have been doing some interesting work on fractions. We built a fraction wall and explored equivalent fractions and the fraction of a number.
