Students in Grade 11 have spent the week continuing to make progress on their drawings. They are also taking time to pause and reflect on their work in progress, identifying areas of success and areas for improvement. These reflections are documented in their Artmaking Inquiry Portfolio, helping students think critically about their work and make informed decisions as they continue developing their artwork. Both of these assignments will extend into the October holiday.Â
Students in Grade 12 have taken a break from artmaking this week to return to the theory components of the course: the Connections Study and Artist Project. They are synthesising their artist research and beginning to investigate and analyse artworks by their selected artists. This process allows students to develop a deeper understanding of the artists’ work and its significance, while also making connections to their own artmaking. Work on the Connections Study and the first artwork will continue over the October holiday.
Wishing everyone an enjoyable and restful October holiday!
