🌟 Our Week in Grade 3! 🌟
We had a busy and exciting week of learning!
📚 Literacy Centers: Students worked in small groups to strengthen their reading, writing, and sentence-building skills through a variety of engaging activities.
💚 World Mental Health Day: We wore green to show our support for mental health awareness. We discussed the importance of looking after our emotional wellbeing and showing kindness to ourselves and others.
🎒 Mystery Bag Provocation: We kicked off our new Sharing the Planet unit with an exciting mystery bag activity! Students explored a bag that someone had packed with only 10 minutes to prepare. They shared their observations, recorded their thoughts, and asked questions about the items inside. This sparked curiosity and encouraged students to begin thinking about our new unit of inquiry.
☀️ Outdoor Recess Reminder
When we return from the break, we will be spending time outside for recess, please make sure your child comes to school with:
🧢 A hat
💧 A filled water bottle
This will help students stay comfortable, hydrated, and protected from the sun while outdoors.
