This week, the Grade 12 SL students have completed their initial research for their Connections Study. Having a foundational understanding of the two artists they selected is critical to their success in this assignment. Students will be receiving feedback on their research in the coming weeks and will then be able to move on to the next step in the Connections Study.

Grade 12 HL students have spent the week formulating their proposal for the Artist Project. This involves ideation, research, and making adjustments based on feedback. It is an ongoing process with many moving parts, and it is a task that we will be working on over the coming weeks while also beginning the first artwork of the year.

Grade 11 SL students are finishing up their drawing exploration using graphite, pen, and charcoal. This experimentation will then be documented digitally in the Art making Inquiry Portfolio, more commonly referred to as the AIP. Students will then select which of these mediums they would like to utilize for their first artwork.
