This week, we took things a step further and really got our hands dirty! We formally started building conversations and diving deeper into the rich culture and diverse world of the Spanish-speaking community. Spanish as a second language is truly taking shape here at ABIS!
Here is a quick look at what each group has been up to:

Grade 11 Spanish Ab Initio: Our beginners are building a solid foundation! Students acquired essential everyday vocabulary, learned how to introduce themselves, and picked up several key verbs. Classroom dynamic is buzzing as student-to-student conversations are starting to flow!

Grade 12 Spanish Ab Initio: It is all about refining and polishing! We spent the week reviewing crucial grammar concepts to prepare for the upcoming Internal Assessment (Individual Oral). This unit focuses on refreshing and consolidating all the communication skills developed throughout Year 1.

Spanish B: We officially launched our new unit exploring the fascinating world of Textiles in the Hispanic World. Alongside this cultural dive, our student began targeted practice sessions to get ready for Paper 1.
