Dear Grade 3A Families,
We have had a wonderful start to the school year! It has been lovely getting to know the children, hearing about their summer adventures, and beginning to build our Grade 3 classroom community together. This week, students spent time getting to know one another, establishing classroom routines and discussing how we can create a safe, respectful and positive learning environment. We also began thinking about how the words we choose can help make our classroom a welcoming place for everyone.
Our Essential agreements are:
We are kind and respectful. ❤️
We listen to each other. 👂
We take turns and share. 🔄
We take care of our classroom and belongings.
We keep ourselves and others safe.
We help and support one another. 🤝
We are open-minded and ready to learn. 🧠
Please note that students will be keeping their iPads at school rather than taking them home each day. This will help ensure that devices are charged, ready for learning, and available when needed during lessons. If there is ever a specific reason for students to take their iPads home, families will be informed in advance. Thank you for your continued support as we settle into Grade 3. We are looking forward to another exciting week of learning, wondering and discovering together!
