Dear parents,
As we approach the final week of the academic year, there is much to celebrate across the school.
Last Thursday evening, we held our Grade 12 Graduation Ceremony at the Radisson Hotel. It was a wonderful occasion and a fitting celebration of our graduates’ achievements after years of hard work, perseverance, and commitment. Surrounded by family, friends, and staff, our graduates marked an important milestone in their educational journey. We are extremely proud of all they have accomplished and wish them every success in the future.
This week has also been a busy one as we finalise the construction and fit-out of our new Science and Innovation Centre. We have been working hard to prepare the laboratories ahead of next week’s official opening, and we are looking forward to showcasing this outstanding new facility to our community.
This week also provided valuable transition experiences for students moving into the next stage of their education, with Grade 6 students visiting the Secondary School and Grade 10 students gaining an insight into the Diploma Programme.
Further, this morning Secondary held an assembly where awards were presented to deserving students for their accomplishments. My warmest congratulation to nominees and winners of the awards. Well done!
At this same ceremony, Grade 6 students were formally seated as our new Secondary students next year. It was wonderful to see this group of students rightfully take their place with the Secondary students. Congratulations to all the Grade 6 students.
This afternoon, our Grade 4–6 students presented an excellent assembly. Their performances reflected the confidence, enthusiasm, and talents of our students and were enjoyed by all in attendance.
Another highlight this week was the arrival of the 2025–2026 ABIS Year Book. The final copies were delivered for review and will be distributed to students next week. This year’s edition features a new format designed to reduce the size and weight of the book while still capturing the many achievements, events, and memories from the academic year. It looks great, and I am sure students and families will enjoy reflecting on the year through its pages. The school Annual Report will be sent next week via email and can be read online or downloaded.
A reminder that Wednesday 17 June is the final day of school for students, with dismissal at 12:20 pm. End-of-year reports will be released to families later that day.
