It’s been a great four days of learning in Grade 5, with lots of new ideas and discussions taking place.
In our Unit of Inquiry, we have begun our new unit on digital citizenship. We started with a provocation earlier in the week, using a role-play scenario where a photo of Mr. G was shared with others without permission. While some found it amusing, it helped students reflect on how actions online can impact others. This led to thoughtful discussions about the importance of making responsible choices online and ensuring that both our own and others’ rights and dignity are respected.
In maths, we have continued developing our understanding of fractions, while in literacy, we have begun to explore narrative writing, thinking about how to craft engaging and meaningful stories.

When we return from the break, we will continue building on all of these areas of learning.
We would like to wish all families a joyful Eid Mubarak, and hope everyone enjoys a restful and enjoyable March break with family and loved ones.
Best wishes,
Mr. G & Miss Megan
