Grade 5 enjoyed an unforgettable field trip to Muscat during Oman Week! We would like to say a heartfelt thank you for ensuring students arrived well packed and prepared, and to the students for their excellent behaviour, responsibility, and enthusiasm throughout the trip. They represented our school wonderfully and had some truly memorable experiences.

If you have not yet had the chance, please see the following folders for each day’s photographs from the trip:

Looking ahead to next week, we will be fully launching our new Unit of Inquiry under the transdisciplinary theme How We Express Ourselves. The central idea for this unit is: Digital technology allows us to capture, interpret, and communicate ideas about the world in different ways. Students have already had a small preview of this unit, and we are excited to now dive into it in more depth.

Next week, we will also have the opportunity to visit and explore the Grade 6 PYP Exhibition. Grade 5 students will offer meaningful feedback to the exhibitors, while also getting a glimpse of what they can look forward to in their final year of the PYP. In maths, our focus will be on fractions, and in literacy, we will begin working on artistic statements, linking closely to our new unit of inquiry.

We hope to see as many of you as possible at the International Food Festival this evening,
Best wishes,
Mr. G & Miss Megan
