It has been a lovely but short week back after the winter holiday. In Maths, Grade 5 focused on reviewing area, perimeter, volume, and angles through a range of activities, including student-created Kahoots.

During UOI, students explored ethical consumerism through different scenarios, considering whether choices are fair to workers, customers, and the environment. Students also investigated how sustainable everyday products are using the Sustainability Compass Model (Nature, Economy, Society, and Wellbeing).

You can find some photos from the week here

Looking forward:

Students will begin preparing for their own inquiry into a product or material that may be at the end of its lifespan, thinking about how it could be repurposed for a new life. In Maths, we will continue focusing on measurement, particularly converting between different metric units.

Wishing you all a lovely long weekend!

Warm regards,

Miss Megan and Mr. G
