It was wonderful to see the Secondary House Captains get voted in last week in preparation for all of the sports days and events in the future. I think this will be a really positive step towards bringing the schoolhouses together in healthy competition. In our end of school assembly this morning, the enthusiasm and excitement about finding out who won the sports days was really evident and so lovely to see (although, I was disappointed my house did not win!)
Our Secondary School Council are brimming with ideas about house team competitions that reach beyond sports, so they will be collaborating with our newly elected captains to bring these ideas to life during the next semester.
Calm in the Farm has been a great success at lunchtime- we have hung out, chilled, chatted, sat with our feet in the water and got ourselves ready for afternoon learning. We will continue to gather together until the weather becomes too hot- we love being in there with the chickens and goats!
Finally, I would like to wish all of our students and their families a relaxing, restful, and loving winter break. I look forward to catching up with everyone in January.
Ms. Jo
