This week, we welcomed students back after the National Day break and were excited to begin our new Unit of Inquiry. Building on last week’s provocation, we revisited images showing where products are made and where they may end up. This sparked thoughtful discussions about how these images made students feel and what they think this unit will help them explore.
We then began investigating where our everyday products come from, and students are already noticing patterns and asking thoughtful questions about global production and consumption. It has been a great start to the unit.
In literacy, we introduced our new writing focus: debate and persuasive writing, where students will learn techniques to express strong viewpoints and convince their audience. This is always a fun and engaging style to explore. We also continued developing our understanding of measurement in maths.

Looking ahead, next week we will continue building on all of these areas, especially deepening our inquiry into some of the challenges connected to where our products come from.
Best wishes,
Mr. G & Miss Megan
