Dear Primary Families,

Oman National Day Celebration
Today, 20th November, we celebrated Oman National Day with a wonderful assembly that brought together Omani dress, performances, and music. It was a beautiful celebration of culture, identity, and community spirit. A huge thank-you to our Arabic team for organising and leading the event — it was a joyful start to the day and a reminder of how proud we are to be part of Oman’s story.

ABIS Students on Oman Radio – The Little Reader

Earlier this week, a group of ABIS students travelled to Muscat to be interviewed for Oman Radio as part of The Little Reader competition. The children spoke with confidence and enthusiasm about the books and poems they have enjoyed — and they thoroughly loved the experience of being inside a real radio studio! Congratulations to all the students involved, and a big thank-you to Ms. Karima for her support and coordination of this fantastic opportunity.

Grade 6 – PYP Exhibition Journey Begins
This week, Grade 6 officially launched their PYP Exhibition journey! The classrooms have been re-imagined to reflect this year’s theme — Star Wars: The Battle Between Light and Dark. Students have begun identifying their areas of interest and exploring possible topics for their personal inquiries. The energy and excitement are already building, and we can’t wait to see how their epic journey unfolds over the coming weeks.

Book Fair – Next Week
From Sunday to Tuesday next week, our Book Fair will take place in the LC3 building. Parents are warmly invited to visit and browse the selection of books available for purchase. Reading is such a wonderful habit and skill to nurture — we encourage families to continue supporting and celebrating their children’s love of books and stories.

Winter Concerts
We are also looking forward to our upcoming Winter Concerts. On Thursday, 4th December, our KG1–Grade 2students will perform from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, and on Wednesday, 10th December, our Grade 3–6 students will take to the stage from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. We can’t wait to celebrate our students’ creativity and musical talents.

Next week, we will enjoy the National Day holidays — school will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday. We wish all families a wonderful, extended holiday weekend.

Best regards,

Matthew
Primary Team Lead
