π¨ Visual Art Weekly Update
Welcome back! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Our young artists had a wonderful week filled with creativity and exploration across all grade levels:
- KG1 β Students started to practice oval and stars.
- KG2 β They made a game by using their feet in different types of textures and fabric’s.
- Grade 1 β Students finished the summative assessment as drawing a family portrait by using all elements of art.
- Grade 2 β Students made groups and they created different ideas about themselves.
- Grade 3 – students finished their summative assessments project for the Van Gogh sunflowers and they did their reflection.
- Grade 4 β Students explored the concept of value, practicing a variety of shading techniques and they finished to create their own collage as a summative assessment and they made good efforts.
- βGrade 5 – started a new unit (Painting) and they started to know the Impressionism style and Van Gogh with his fantastic painting starry night.
- Grade 6 β Inspired by Jacob Lawrence, students finished working on their own large projects, developing personal stories about migration through art.
It has been an inspiring week in the art room, and we are so proud of the progress each student is making.
