Dear Primary Families,
Grade 2–3 Assembly
Today’s primary assembly was a lovely way to end our week. Grade 2 shared their inquiry into culture—exploring their own identities and learning about the traditions, languages, and stories of their classmates. It was wonderful to see how thoughtfully they listened to one another and made connections across cultures. Grade 3 shared their Unit of Inquiry on body systems, explaining how the choices we make — for example, about nutrition — can positively impact our health. Their clear explanations and confident presentations were impressive.
Parent Coffee Morning & Seesaw Workshop
On Tuesday morning, we welcomed parents for a hands-on Seesaw workshop during our Parent Coffee Morning. A big thank-you to Ms. Megan for leading, and to all the parents who were able to attend. Seesaw is a valuable platform that supports student learning and provides a window into our classrooms and learning spaces. Please do take time to check your child’s Seesaw posts and, as always, if you have any questions, contact your child’s teacher.
Grade 2 Mini Art Exhibition
Congratulations to Ms. Sanaa and our Grade 2 artists for a beautiful mini-exhibition in class this week. I thoroughly enjoyed speaking with students about their work and the choices they made—what to include, which colours to use, and how to compose their paintings. Their pride and thoughtful reflection were clear to see.
Omani Women’s Day – 17 October
Tomorrow is Omani Women’s Day. We are proud to celebrate the many women who work at ABIS—teachers, assistants, leaders, and support staff—whose professionalism, care, and example enrich our community every day. They are role models for our students and for all of us. To all Omani women in our community and beyond: congratulations on this special day.
Wishing everyone a restful weekend and a happy Omani Women’s Day.
Best regards,
Matthew
Primary Team Lead
