Dear Parents,
We are thrilled to share that this week, students showcasing their final movement routines as part of our Movement Composition unit in PSPE. Throughout this inquiry-based unit, students have explored how we can express ideas, emotions, and stories through movement in gymnastics, while developing key IB learner attributes such as creativity, collaboration, and confidence.
Over the past weeks, your child has:
- Explored choreographic tools like rolls, balance unison, contrast and pyramids.
- Practiced timing, spatial awareness, and expressive movement
- Collaborated in small groups to co-create original routines
- Reflected on their creative process and group dynamic
This culminating performance is a celebration of both the process and the product—highlighting not only their final routine, but also the critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills they’ve developed along the way.
Thank you for supporting your child’s learning journey in PSPE. We look forward to continuing to nurture these important life skills through physical expression and movement.
