Dear ABIS Community,
Today marks the end of a remarkable year, and the events and activities throughout this year have showcased ABIS’s unwavering commitment to our students and the community.
During this morning’s final school assembly, we bid farewell to departing students and teachers. It was a heartfelt gathering, with students paying tribute to their teachers and a slideshow capturing memorable moments from the year, leaving everyone with lasting memories. We extend our gratitude to everyone involved in organizing today’s assembly.
This special occasion also marks the time we say goodbye to some of our teachers who are returning home or embarking on new adventures in different countries. Those leaving include Nick Murga, Kirsten Lloyd, Yvette Crowley, Chris Lee, Glen and Pinar Nicholson, Andrew Wetzel, Magz Bray, Andrew Johnson, and Peter and Ays Lawson. We extend our heartfelt best wishes to all departing staff members, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to our school and their dedication to our students’ success.
A special mention goes to Atul Alex, our IT Manager for 13 years. Atul is moving on to a new position after many years serving ABIS. His contributions to ABIS have been above and beyond his role, and we extend our sincere gratitude for his hard work and dedication over the years; he will be greatly missed.
To the students who will be leaving ABIS this year, as you embark on new journeys in different countries, cities, and schools, we sincerely hope you carry with you fond memories of your time here. Remember the ABIS community pact: Challenge Yourself, Involve Yourself, Be Your Best. We wish you the best of luck in your new schools and hope you thrive in all your future endeavors.
While bidding farewell, we also look forward to welcoming new teachers who will be joining us in August. We are delighted to have recruited experienced IB teachers who will enhance our educational community at ABIS. Please extend a warm welcome to the new teachers by clicking on this newsletter link. They are excited to join us in Oman! When you meet them next year, please ensure they feel welcomed into our community.
We are pleased to inform you that the ABIS Annual Report 2024 has been published. To access your digital copy, please click on the following link: ABIS Annual Report 2024.
As we embark on the summer break, I wish all parents and students a safe and rejuvenating time. Enjoy the break with your loved ones and friends.
Warm regards,
