This afternoon marked the second-to-last house competition of the school year, featuring secondary students who participated in swimming and volleyball events.

The girls’ volleyball matches were action-packed and brimming with excitement as the house teams engaged in a round-robin format. The ultimate winner was determined by the team with the highest combined points after three games. In a surprising upset, Green House managed to secure victory by scoring the most points, overthrowing the experienced team from Blue House. In the boys’ swimming competition, the athletes showcased their skills across the 50m breaststroke, 50m backstroke, 50m butterfly, and 50m freestyle events. The competition concluded with a thrilling 4x25m freestyle relay swim. The highlight of the swimming event was the 4x25m freestyle relay, which involved only two house teams, Blue and Green. The Blue team had a very strong start, but the Green team took the lead in the second stretch. The Blue team managed to catch up in the final lap, resulting in both competing swimmers touching the wall simultaneously. It was an exhilarating finish that left the spectators in awe.

Despite the number of sign-ups falling short of expectations, the races between the swimmers from Grades 7 and 8 were undeniably captivating. Notably, only three boys competed in the G9-11 swim races; however, spectators were left thoroughly impressed by the remarkable speed and power displayed by these exceptional swimmers.
