Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with the ABIS community today! It was such a delight getting to know everyone and hearing about their lives, interests and backgrounds. I couldn’t have asked for a better first day of school.
We kicked off the year with a classroom scavenger hunt and shared a little about how we were feeling about the day. We read a fantastic book, A Bad Case of Stripes by David Shannon, which taught us about the importance of being ourselves. We then conducted an interview of a classmate and introduced them to the class. Lastly, we drew a “selfie” and wrote a little bit about ourselves in response to a “text” from Mrs. K.
- Natalie and Lilli conducting their interview.
- Theo and George conducting their interview.
- Jesmika introduces Kate.
- Diego introduces Rodrigo
- Grade 4 “Selfies”
- Fatima gives the peace sign in her “selfie”
Grade 4 also enjoyed having some special classes today, including music, arabic and dance. I am looking forward to what is going to be a great year!
