Greetings Friends and Family-
So much is/has and will be going on, it is making us all dizzy!
To kick off our unit, G4 had a visitor this week. The well-known historical explorer Christopher Columbus made an appearance to speak with the kids about his experiences. He told student’s his story and feed them limes to prevent scurvy. Kids were all very excited. Student’s also built a timeline, studied a map and brainstormed travel vocabulary to get them revved up for a voyage into the past.
Students have also been busy readying themselves for Student-Led Conferences. These will take place next week Tuesday 3:30-5:30 (I will be available) and Wednesday (1:00-4:30). Many of you have already signed up, if you haven’t please do. In conjunction with this, Wednesday there will be an early dismissal of 12:20.
Next week is also the musical. Monday at 4:30 SHARP! The musical will start at 4:30, so please be here earlier to find a seat and get settled. Students are not allowed to stay after school until then, as they will not be supervised.
Also…, the week next will be Book Week. Plans are still being formulated so I will provide more information later.
Its speeding up! Hope everyone had a good week and is ready to rock! – Cheers
