Welcome, 2023! I hope everyone had a wonderful winter break and is ready to hit the ground running in 2023. While we are slowly ramping it up and getting back into the swing of things, we have many exciting learning activities on the horizon. One of which is to begin a classroom economy. Our next unit is involved with government systems and the idea of embedding an economy as a learning opportunity was irresistible. Kids will need a money pouch. Throughout the year, students have been learning to take on various responsibilities within the classroom routine- please ask your student about these. These jobs will be the beginning of the economy. The idea ws introduced to the kids by exploring different countries’ currency. I am hopeful the kids will learn while having fun.
