This week in History, Grade 11 read about, discussed, and analyzed the effects of the Great Depression on Germany. This most famous economic downturn began in 1929 and, among other things, helped Adolf Hitler into power.
One of the challenges of teaching high level courses like Diploma History is ensuring that the students can access the information in a variety of ways. This means reading, discussing, viewing videos and images, outlining, and, as we did on Monday, mind mapping.
Everyone learns in different ways and the key is reach them all!
