I have been inspired this week by the standard of work produced by grade 3. The students have applied their knowledge to science investigations involving the human body.
Mohammad and Yahya conducted an experiment at home to find out which is the most effective, hand sanitizer or soap and water? Petri dishes with agar were used to show the results. The first dish was used as a control. The second dish was used with an unclean hand; the third dish was used with a hand that had been washed with hand sanitizer. Finally a hand that had been washed using soap and water was tested. After three days the results were photographed.
The presentation left the class shocked! The pictures showed how the hand sanitizer was effective but using soap and water is the best way to keep germ free hands.
