Another Great Week in Grade 2!

We had a full week of learning! Take a look at some of the things we did.

What is in the Box? has been a big success in Grade 2. The children enjoy asking each other questions and giving answers. This is helping the children strengthen their English language skills and speaking in front of a group. Everybody likes participating!
We have been learning about temperature. We learned that in our classroom it is 24 degrees C, in the sun it was 50 degrees C, and in the shade it was 30 degrees C. We learned the words freezing, cold, cool, warm, hot and boiling. We also learned thermometer, temperature and thermostat.
We looked for evidence or proof of wind because we predicted that it would be a windy day.

We learned that air is all around us. We felt a balloon filled with air and we flew kites to see and feel the air holding the kite up in the air.
