We have had a productive week in grade 3 and Ms Khadija, Ms Liezel and myself are very happy with the standard of work and how the students are making the most of the online learning experience.

Students have applied their known number facts to work out an unknown fact. For example, 4 + 7 is unknown, but 4 + 4 is known. They had to get from the known fact to the unknown fact using number knowledge. We introduced capacity this week and learnt that a standard unit is needed to measure liquid. The class can identify how much liquid is in a container.

Sheiam converged millilitres to liters.

As part of our unit of inquiry on natural resources we focused on water this week. The water cycle was reviewed by singing songs, drawing and labeling a diagram.

Hamad completed his diagram using the correct words.
My recent trip to the UK showed a wind farm. The 27 turbines produce electricity for many homes.

We wish you a happy holiday for Prophet Mohammad’s birthday.
